The mission of One Sacred Star is to bring awareness, encouragement and compassion to self and others for embracing life’s challenges and celebrating its joys. Using a myriad of experiences through group drumming, meditation, and multi-media events, participants in One Sacred Star’s programs will have the opportunity to broaden their minds, open their hearts and enter into a unique expressive and mindful experience.
Toni Austin-Allen, creator and founder of One Sacred Star, incorporates her passions to create healing and inspirational art, music, and poetic writings and to inspire others to find their own paths toward self-expression, joy and compassion for others. It is through these experiences that we can realize and affirm our authentic selves, while at the same time, explore the opportunities for growth inherent in life’s daily challenges. Her love of the arts, community and empowerment drum circles, the mindful arts of meditation and walking, along with her her deep connection with the natural world, enable her to custom design programs for individuals and groups of all ages that will enhance lives and guide participants through the inevitable issues and challenges that arise in everyday life. These programs might be a HealthRHYTHMS empowerment drum session for troubled teens or for women who are experiencing anxiety in mid-life crises. It might be a meditation course and mindful movement and music for the aging population or for those who have a chronic illness. It might be an art project and nature games with children ending in a community drum circle to bring the natural world to life for those who have limited access to the outside world. The options are many and varied. Toni will work with your needs to create the program that will enable you or your group to connect with your innermost selves. Toni, as an artist, shares her passion of “nature as medicine” in her original watercolor paintings and small sculptures. These landscapes and sculpturesare all inspired by the many and varied walks in nature that Toni takes in her daily life in the southwest. She feels that artwork should be available to people of all walks of life, so she primarily works small and keeps her prices at an affordable level.
